My research interest is organic analytical chemistry with an emphasis in two areas; 1) applied mass spectrometry with a focus on the analysis of airborne allergenic proteins, environmental contaminants and analytical pyrolysis on complex biomaterials and 2) thermochemical conversion of biomass waste (forestry and fisheries) to renewable biofuels and biomaterials.
