个人简介

Dr. Catherine Leviten-Reid is an Associate Professor in the MBA in Community Economic Development program. Dr. Leviten-Reid does research on the social economy, social care and housing, much of which is community-based. Her work has been published in journals including Community Development, VOLUNTAS: International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations and the Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly. From 2010-2016, she was a co-investigator in a SSHRC-funded Community University Research Alliance on co-operatives and her current research is supported by the Homelessness Partnering Strategy. Dr. Leviten-Reid obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for the Study of Co-operatives at the University of Saskatchewan before joining CBU. She teaches courses in business and community development and research methods, and brings not only academic expertise, but extensive experience working and volunteering in the non-profit and co-operative sectors to the classroom.
