I am interested in the ecology and evolution of infectious diseases. My primary focus is on relationships among animal parasites, their hosts, and the environment, focusing on aquatic ecosystems to explore four general themes: 1) environmental impacts on host-parasite dynamics, 2) the roles of parasites in natural communities, 3) host-parasite interactions, and 4) mechanisms of parasite effects.
