Current Research Interests
Our research interest lies at the interface of organic and organometallic chemistry. Development of efficient, practical, and selective synthetic methods that generate minimal by-products is of critical importance in both academic and industrial research. Our group focuses on the development of new efficient reactions and organometallic homogeneous catalysts. In particular, we are interested in C-N bond formation, dehydrogenation of alkanes, environmentally friendly hydroformylation, and synthesis of fine chemicals from renewable sources. Our research program combines reaction development, catalyst and ligand design, and investigation of fundamental reactivity of pertinent metal species.
