Dr. Saatchi completed a Bachelor of Sciences in Chemistry (Tehran, Iran) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicinal Inorganic Chemistry at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Saatchi is a Senior Research Associate in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences UBC. Dr. Saatchi is the course coordinator and instructor for Phar 525. She also teaches sections of Phar 510, Phar 515 and Phar 518.

研究领域

The research focus of Dr. Saatchi is the syntheses and modification of small and macro (bio)molecules (polymers, peptides, proteins, etc.) and their alteration with radioisotopes, fluorescent molecules and other diagnostic probes for imaging or cancer therapy. These novel formulations are then used for drug delivery and as radiopharmaceuticals for imaging (SPECT, PET, CT) or as theranostics.
