Dr. Frank S. Abbott completed a bachelor of science in pharmacy (with great distinction) and master of science in medicinal chemistry at the University of Saskatchewan. He also holds a doctor of philosophy in medicinal chemistry from Purdue University.

Dr. Abbott's research interests include analytical method development, drug receptor interactions, drug discovery, drug metabolism and drug interactions, as well as quantitative structure-activity-relationships-toxicological investigations of drugs and metabolites.
Dr. Abbott's current research is focused on reactive metabolites and the production of reactive oxygen species as mechanisms of idiosyncratic drug toxicity. Please note Dr. Abbott is not supervising any new graduate students at this time.
