学历: 1994-1998:武汉交通科技大学(现武汉理工大学)机械工程专业,获工学博士学位,并获“2002年全国(百篇)优秀博士学位论文”。 1985-1988:武汉大学物理系固体物理专业学习,获理学硕士学位; 1979-1983:武汉大学物理系金属物理专业学习,获理学学士学位; 主要工作经历: 2001-现在:武汉大学物理科学与技术学院工作,教授(二级); 2015.05: 台湾国立雲林科技大学人文与科学学院材料科技研究所 客座教授; 1999-2001:美国肯塔基大学工学院CRMS中心访问研究; 1997:日本参加“钢材加工と加工特性”研修班学习; 1983-2001:武汉理工大学(原武汉交通科技大学)船舶机械工程系工作,1998年5月晋升教授,1999年1月被交通部遴选为博士生导师、交通部跨世纪学术带头人,先后担任教研室主任和系副主任等职。 多次赴美国、日本、瑞典、新西兰、澳大利亚、法国、印度、新加坡、韩国、俄罗斯、香港、台湾等国家和地区进行合作研究和参加国际学术会议。 主要学术兼职: 1) 教育部材料物理与材料化学教学指导委员会 委员 2) 中国材料研究学会 理事 3) 湖北省物理学会和武汉物理学 副理事长和秘书长(兼) 4) 湖北省电子显微镜学会 副理事长 5) 湖北省复合材料学会 副理事长 6) 湖北省机械工程学会 常务理事 7)湖北省机械工程学会理化检验专业委员会 理事长 8) 《Scientific Reports》、《材料导报》、《材料保护》、《表面技术》、《纳米科技》等编委
