个人简介

Ian graduated from Heriot-Watt University, 1986 with BSc in Pharmacy. During his career he has held a variety of community pharmacy management positions in Scotland and was superintendent pharmacists for a group of 24 pharmacies immediately prior to joining the MPharm teaching team in 2005. Initially on a two day per week secondment, he now works three days per week in the University teaching pharmacy practice classes and two days per week in an independent contractor community pharmacy in Glasgow. He has always been active in pharmacist training, supporting NES workshops and pre-registration training programmes in addition to formerly being a pre-registration tutor himself. Ian has been a member of a range of Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board primary care committees. Within SIPBS he is class co-ordinator for MP310 (Pharmacy Practice 1), and is involved in desing and teaching of many aspects of the new MPharm curriculum. Additionally he has a role in NHS Liaison to underpin the Experiential Learning aspect of the MPharm. He is an active member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society –currently lead for the West Central Scotland, Local Practice Forum.
