研究领域

Our current research is focused on optimal design of drug eluting stents (DES), used for the treatment of coronary artery disease, and is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. Our approach involves both experimental and mathematical models to help understand the phenomena governing drug transport from the stent surface and through the vessel wall. From this approach we have identified key parameters which influence DES performance and are applying this knowledge to the DES design process.
