个人简介

Derna graduated from Strathclyde University in 1990 with a BScHons in Pharmacy. She began her career as a hospital pharmacist, working at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and the Western Infirmary in Glasgow and in 1996 she gained her MSc in Clinical Pharmacy. After a brief spell working in the private sector, providing education and training seminars for the pharmaceutical industry, Derna returned to the NHS in 2004 and was subsequently seconded to the University to run the pharmacist prescribing courses. In 2007 she became a full-time academic but retains her practice experience through regular work in community pharmacy.
