Dr O’Hare is 0.5 WTE senior lecturer in Global Health Implementation, a joint post between the University of St Andrews, Scotland and the School of Public Health and Family Medicine, University of Malawi. She works with a multidisciplinary group in Malawi who study upstream influences on children's right to the determinants of health. Dr O'Hare is a senior lecturer in Paediatrics and Child Health, College of Medicine, Malawi as consultant paediatrician and is deputy Head of the deartment of Paediatrics and Child Health. She has extensive experience caring for children vertically infected with HIV. She is the treasurer of the Malawian Paediatric and Child Health Association (PACHA) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).
