Dr Macleod is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology. Her clinical work is largely in the area of acute stroke and primary and secondary stroke prevention. Current research interests include diagnosis and management of Transient Ischaemic Attack and minor stroke, genetics of stroke and hypertension, biomarkers and other predictors of outcome in acute stroke. She is professional practice coordinator for Phase IV of the MBChB course
