个人简介

I started work at Staffordshire University in 2000 as a Senior Lecturer in Ecology. Between 2005 and 2007 I was Director of the University’s Institute for Environment, Sustainability and Regeneration and in 2006 I was made a Reader in Biology and Forensic Science, an appointment instituted to provide research leadership for these areas. In 2008 I was appointed Professor of Ecology. Throughout these years I conducted research in Norway, Sweden, Spain, Australia and England. Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, 1980-present Member of the British Ecological Society, 1981-present Member of Council (Trustee) of Butterfly Conservation 2007-2011, also National Conservation Committee Member, 2007-present West Midlands Region Committee Member of Butterfly Conservation, 2006-2014 Member of Butterfly Conservation, 1987-present DEFRA Cereal Margins Habitat Action Plan Steering Group Member, 2007-present DEFRA Hedgerow Habitat Action Plan Steering Group Member, 2008-present Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Insect Conservation: Jan 2009-2014 Member of the Editorial Board of the journal Landscape and Urban Planning 2002-2006 Member of the International Association for Landscape Ecology 1992-2006 (Treasurer: 1996-2004; Publisher: 1994-2006) Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology 2013-present Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Insect Conservation, 2014-present
