2010/07-2010/09,日本东北大学金属研究所,应日本邀请作为访问教授从事非晶与碳纳米复合材料合作研究;
2003/02-2003/12,应香港理工大学邀请,从事激光材料表面改性合作研究;
2000/06-2001/02,国家公派访问学者,在美国伊利诺斯理工学院,铝基复合材料的制备与性能研究;

研究领域
1.复合材料的制备与界面改性。
通过控制组成相的成分、含量、结构,制备高性能的复合材料;通过增强组元的表面改性,以及结构、组成和工艺的控制,改善界面结构,以获得具有优良力学性能和功能特性的复合材料。
2.纳米材料的合成与应用研究
主要开展用化学气相沉积制备碳纳米材料,包括零维碳纳米洋葱,一维碳纳米管和二维、三维网络石墨烯的原位合成及其在结构与锂离子电池和超电容电极中的应用研究。特别是在金属基体上进行的原位碳纳米材料的合成、以及三维网络石墨烯原位合成方面形成了研究特色。另外还开展其它纳米材料合成如TiO2,ZrO2及其包覆等,用于光催化、染料敏化太阳能电池与电极材料的研究。
3.新型高性能金属材料的设计与制备
主要针对航空航天、汽车零部件轻量化的要求,开展新型铝合金、镁合金的研究,通过材料成分设计,特别是稀土元素的微量添加,制备高强高韧合金。目前在863课题支持下正在开展轻质高强铝钪合金与细晶铸旋成形及其应用技术的研究。
