个人简介

I joined the University of Westminster in October 2014, I'm currently involved in the establishment of a new Research Centre for Optimal Health (ReCOH). I studied for degree in Biochemistry from Queen Mary and Westfield College followed by a PhD looking at the effects of diet and development on adipose tissue composition using in vivo 13C NMR Spectroscopy. Following this I worked as a Post Doc at the Robert Steiner MRI Unit at the Hammersmith Hospital developing non-invasive MR imaging and spectroscopy to measure body fat content and distribution. I subsequently became a lecturer at Imperial College, and then a Senior Scientist at the MRC's Clinical Sciences Centre with my research primarily focussed on understanding the impact visceral adipose tissue and ectopic fat (particularly liver fat content) on obesity and metabolism.
