Katie qualified in Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine from the London School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (LSATCM) in 1997 and 1998 and is a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM). As well as practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbs in private practice 3 days a week, Katie is a life-long learner and enthusiastic teacher of her craft. She is senior lecturer and clinical supervisor of students on the BSc Chinese Medicine Acupuncture degree course. As a member of EAST Medicine she took part in researching Chinese Medicine treatment protocols for Menopausal symptoms with Prof Volker Scheid, funded by the department of health. In her private clinic work, Katie practices mainly as a 'generalist' but has also developed a particular interest in women's health and how Chinese medicine can successfully resolve complex and increasingly prevalent conditions such as infertility and associated gynaecological disorders and women going through menopause. She regularly attends seminars and has observed in CM hospitals in Hangzhou.
