Amanda R Amorim Adegboye is a Senior Lecturer in International Public Health & Nutrition. She completed her first degree in Human Nutrition at Rio de Janeiro State University in Brazil. In 2001, she did a professional training in nutrition and infectious diseases at Evandro Chagas Hospital/ Research Centre in Brazil.
She holds a MSc and PhD degree in Epidemiology. She did an exchange PhD programme in Sweden (Obesity Unit at Karolinska Institute). From 2007 to 2013, she worked as a research fellow and guest lecturer at Institute of Preventive Medicine in Denmark. She is a member of the European Nutrition Leadership Platform (ENLP). She has a strong background on quantitative data analysis and systematic reviews.

My current research interests include: Diet and Oral health; Maternal and Childhood Obesity; Effects of vitamin D and Calcium Supplementation on Health Outcomes; Nutritional Interventions during Pregnancy; Food habits among Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Groups and Faith-based Public Health Interventions among BME.
