1987-1990; PhD Cambridge University 1990-1993; Post-doc at the Institute fur Genbiologische Forschung (IGF), Berlin, Germany, with Prof. L.Willmitzer, studying genes involved in the tuberisation signal transduction pathway in potato plants 1993-1996; Post-doc at the Centro de Investigacion y Desarrollo, C.S.I.C., Barcelona, Spain, with Dr S.Prat (EEC Human Capital and Mobility grant), working on the molecular signals involved in the photoperiodic control of tuberisation / flowering 1996-present; I am an Associate Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Warwick University. My group is investigating the control of plant development and reproduction with particular emphasis on the photoperiodic control of flowering.
