During my PhD I have studied the relationship between sickness behaviour (behavioural changes induced by acute inflammation and infection) and social dominance behaviour in mice. As a postdoctoral fellow, I have researched on depressive-like behaviours induced by immune activation in a socially challenging environment. The role of the orexinergic system and social dominance on fever response was also investigated. In the University of Southampton I am investigating the potential use of engineered antibodies in neuroinflammatory states.
