个人简介

Dr Sally Curtis is a Principal Teaching Fellow and BM6 programme Leader. The BM6 programme was developed to help fulfil one of the aims in the Faculty of Medicine’s Strategic Plan, to widen access to medicine from unrepresented groups. BM6 started as a local, small scale, pilot programme in 2002. In thirteen years it has progressed from this to one of the most popular widening access (WA) to medicine programmes and has gained national recognition as an example of best practice. Sally began teaching on the BM6 programme in its first year and co-designed and delivered the BM6 curriculum, in 2012 she became the Programme Leader. Sally now advises on the development of Widening Access programmes in universities across the UK and is a member of the Medical Schools Council’s Selection Alliance board, which develops and drives widening access policy nationally.

研究领域

I have a keen interest in widening access research both at an institutional level and national level. I supervise student projects on widening access for the BMedSc and MMedSc degree programmes.
