个人简介

Joined the Oxford Orthopaedic Engineering Centre, University of Oxford, in a post-doctoral researcher focusing on bioengineering aspects of pressure ulcer prevention. Moved to Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL) as a Lecturer in Biomaterials associated with the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Biomedical Materials. In 1999, was appointed Professor of Medical Engineering in the Department of Engineering (QMUL). In 2011, joined the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton.

研究领域

His research interests include translation of bioengineering solutions in the prevention of pressure ulcers, the safe design of medical devices for interaction with vulnerable skin, biomechanical conditioning of cell seeded constructs for tissue engineering and cell/tissue biomechanics in health and disease.
