个人简介

Qualified in Podiatric Medicine, Catherine is a Reader in Pedagogic Practice in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing and is Chair of the University’s Higher Education Academy Fellowship Scrutiny Panel. Her research in pedagogy for allied health and public health education is embedded within the strategic institutional focus of the University’s Academic Plan. She contributes to Faculty Research Beacons in both the Centre for Pedagogy and the Faculty of Health Society and Wellbeing Beacon. Catherine has published widely on qualitative research methodologies and the development of professional practice in health. She works centrally with staff from the Graduate Research School in the supervision of substantial numbers of PhD and Prof Doc students, as well as leading all postgraduate research project modules across the Health Team. Committed to the potential for collaborative working between all faculties, Catherine has also worked on several institutional learning and teaching projects in collaboration with the central Academic Development Team. She is UK Advisor in Podiatric Medicine for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow and is Honorary Fellow by Distinction of the Faculty of Public Health.
