个人简介

Tania Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice and Therapeutics within Sunderland Pharmacy School, contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy programmes. Tania is a member of the programme development team for the new Postgraduate MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, managing the programme at Sunderland University and also at the University of Hong Kong. Tania graduated in 2004 from Liverpool John Moores University with a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree and has also completed an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy at Sunderland University. She completed her pre-registration training at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead in 2005 and continued as a rotational clinical pharmacist before moving to Northumbria NHS Foundation Trust to work as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in Surgery and Orthopaedics. Tania also has an Independent Prescribing qualification with a focus on pain management. She has also worked as a Lecturer at Tyne Metropolitan College in North Tyneside, contributing to the BTEC National Certificate Level 3 Pharmacy Technician training programme. She joined Sunderland University in 2010 as a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Therapeutics.

Tania’s research interests are involved with clinical therapeutics relating to ageing, including disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the brain. She also has a particular interest in pain management. Tania also has a clinical attachment with Northumberland, Tyne and Wear Foundation Trust, in the field of mental health.
