研究领域

Kathryn's PhD centred around adolescents with Type I diabetes and an interest into understanding patients' experiences generally in order to help health care practitioners understand their perspective, forge links and become much more patient centred. As a consequence she is heavily involved with learning and reflective practice as a practitioner generally. This translates into wider themes and perspectives across all health care experiences to enable health care practitioners become much more patient or service user centred and to focus on customer needs. Her research makes a contribution to health in terms of transferability from Type I diabetes to other long term conditions as adolescents with Type I diabetes share a lot of common experiences to other individuals with long term conditions.
