个人简介
Dr Nicolas Haroune is a Senior Lecturer in Analytical biochemistry in the Department of Pharmacy, Health and Well-being. He obtained his PhD in France in 2003, where he investigated the biodegradation of organic pollutants by microorganisms using NMR spectroscopy. He then moved to Glasgow to expand his expertise to mass spectrometry, studying the protein induced modification during oxidative stress.
He obtained a lectureship position at Sunderland University in 2010, teaching clinical biochemistry/analytical chemistry across 3 scientific programmes. His research interests lie in the field of NMR and MS based metabolomics across a range of disciplines, but more specifically investigating the role of oxidative stress in the progression of prostate cancer.
