个人简介

I qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 1993. For the past 22 years I have undertaken a variety of roles within the NHS musculoskeletal physiotherapy. From 2004 I have worked part-time as an Extended Scope Practitioner for South West Yorkshire Partnership Trust. A post which continues to be both enjoyable and challenging on a daily basis. In January 2005 I joined the physiotherapy team at Sheffield Hallam University as a part- time Senior Lecturer, completing my Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in 2008. Over the previous 10 years I have had a number of roles and responsibilities within the physiotherapy team, including module leader for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I have been fortunate to teach a range of professions, including occupational therapists, paramedics, nurses and sports scientists. In recent years I have been privileged to be given the opportunity to experience teaching in international environment, including Egypt and Kuwait with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds. I have been a member of the physiotherapy team who look after Sheffield Tigers RUFC since 2000 - a role which combines my love of sport with the intricacies and complexities of physiotherapy within the field of sport medicine.
