研究领域

Physical Chemistry

Research activities in the group focus on Materials Chemistry with an emphasis on disordered and nanomaterials. Specific projects range from disorder / order phenomena in crystalline materials to the synthesis and structural characterisation of amorphous solids and nanomaterials. Recent research highlights include the discovery of three new phases of ice, the preparation of a new carbon nanomaterial (graphene nanoflakes) as well as the design of a new kind of dispersing agent for carbon nanotubes which does not rely on hydrophobic interactions.
