个人简介
Matt Roberts is Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutics within the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences and has been a member of the academic staff since 2003. He is Programme Leader for two of the postgraduate degree courses within the School: MSc 'Drug Discovery & Design' and MSc 'Pharmaceutical Manufacture & Quality Control'. Matt also teaches a wide range of topics on all levels of the undergraduate MPharm and BSc 'Applied Chemical & Pharmaceutical Science' programmes within the school, including aspects of pharmaceutical formulation, drug delivery and industrial pharmacy.
Matt is a member of the Formulation and Drug Delivery research group. His research background is in the field of solid dosage formulation and manufacture having completed a PhD investigating the influence of formulation and process parameters on the problem of punch sticking during tablet manufacture. He has expertise in the use of compaction simulation for evaluating the compression properties of drugs and excipients and in recent years, Matt's research has focussed on hydrophilic and hydrophobic polymeric matrices for sustained drug release and the development of formulations for improved paediatric drug delivery.
