研究领域

Research focus is in viruses of eukaryotes and prokaryotes. This includes the structural biology of essential activities from viruses, particularly relating to protein-protein and protein-nucleic acid interactions in DNA repair and replication. Research is also focused upon synthetic biology as applied to bacteriophages, for their repurposing with applications in cellular reprogramming. Current research projects including collaborations and translational activities, encompass: Characterisation of human Herpesvirus replication and latency associated proteins Genomics and structural studies of bacteriophages including novel protein activities Using synthetic biology to enable protein structure prediction from sequence data Synthetic biology involving bacteriophage
