研究领域
The Hayward-Lab's current research addresses the molecular cell biology of bacterial pathogenesis using a combination of biochemical, cell biology and imaging approaches. In particular we study the obligate intracellular bacterial pathogen Chlamydia trachomatis, the principal cause of sexually transmitted disease and infertility in the Western world and preventable blindness (trachoma) in developing nations.
