Experimental medicine: dose rationale and clinical trial design optimisation in early clinical development (e.g., proof-of-concept studies) Personalised medicines: biomarker validation, patient selection, and dose rationale for novel therapeutic interventions in special populations, paediatric and rare diseases Translational pharmacology: characterisation of the efficacy and safety of medicinal products, including extrapolation methodologies for the prediction of treatment response (e.g., from health to disease conditions, from randomised trials to real-life). Benefit-risk balance: development and application of model-based approaches for evidence synthesis and evaluation of the benefit-risk balance of therapeutic interventions.
