Physical characterisation of pharmaceutical systems (such as drug molecules and formulated products) using techniques such as dielectric spectroscopy, thermally stimulated current spectroscopy, thermal analysis, confocal laser scanning microscopy, rheology and texture analysis. Drug delivery to the eye, with particular emphasis on the treatment of retinopathic and vitreal diseases. Rational development of formulation strategies for optimising oral drug delivery. Development of oral vaccine delivery systems.
