个人简介

Daren Caruana is reader in Physical Chemistry. He is engaged in contemporary electrochemistry research including gas phase electrochemistry, considering a gaseous plasma media as an electrolyte, electrochemistry of freestanding surfactant films and the creation of artificial Ampullae of Lorenzini. He also has a strong interest in applied research in analytical chemistry to detect bioaerosols, in particular tuberculosis agents, also developing a analytical device for breath analysis in point-of-care centres. He was worked at UCL since 1999 (1999-2004: Lecturer; 2004-8: Senior Lecturer; 2008:Reader). Before this, he was a postdoctoral research associate at UCL working with Professor David Williams, and University of Texas at Austin with Professor Adam Heller.
