研究领域
Chuanjie Du employed as a teaching fellow in Dept of Biochemical Engineering, UCL.
Dr Du’s current research focuses on the comparison of performance provided by the single-use and conventional technology in bioprocess.
He also cooperates with his colleagues linking ultra scale-down (USD) technology to the study of large scale bioprocess.
Dr. Du fished his first degree in Medical Biochemistry from University of Birmingham, then got his MSc degree in Dept Biochemical Engineering, UCL, and obtained his Ph.D degree in the same department under the supervision by Professor Gary Lye. During his Ph.D, his research was to explore the utility of the CV2025 ω-transaminase for the selective bioconversion of lignin breakdown products as potential biorenewable substrates. The final goal of this work was to generate value-added products from such inexpensive biorenewable feed stocks in a cost-effective manner.
