个人简介

Katrin Probst obtained her first degree in General & Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Dip-Ing Chemie FH, NTA Prof Grübler, Germany) in 1994. She continued her studies at the University of Basel (Switzerland) in Organic Chemistry & Biochemist and finish in 1997 as Diplom Chemiker. After a short period at University of Basel and Roche AG, Basel (Switzerland) she took up a PhD with Prof Jung at the University of Tübingen (Germany) in Combinatorial Chemistry. During this time she extended her knowledge in Pharmacology & Toxicology, Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmaceutical Biology. From 2003-2004 Dr Probst did a Postdoc at the University of Brighton with Prof Lloyd. She joined the University of Cambridge in 2005, working at the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre (WBIC) with Dr Aigbirhio, where she was responsible for regular synthesis of [18F]FDG, [18F]Fallypride, [11C]PK11195 and the development of [18F]DAA1106, [11C]DAA1106 to image inflamation (BHF funded, Prof Weissberg). During 2007-2008 Dr Probst completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry/Radiopharmacy, ETH Zurich (Switzerland) and joined the University of Edinburgh in 2008 to help set the newly established Clinical Research Imaging Centre (CRIC). In 2010 she was appointed Radiochemist for the Wales Research & Diagnostic Positron Emission Tomography Imaging Centre (PETIC) at Cardiff University.
