Arthur Wilkinson is a Senior Lecturer in Polymer & Composites Processing in the School of Materials. Dr Wilkinson graduated in Polymer Science & Technology (Physics) from UMIST in 1984 and obtained his PhD, also from UMIST, in 1990. He then spent two years conducting Polyurethanes Research and Development for Dow Chemicals (Europe), before joining Manchester Metropolitan University as a Lecturer in Polymer Science & Technology. He joined the University of Manchester in 2006.

His research interests involve the science and technology underpinning processing-structure-property relationships in multi-phase polymer systems; including multicomponent fibres, nanocomposites, blends, block copolymers and structural fibre-composites.
