个人简介
Hugh Gong graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Dong Hua University (Shanghai, China) in 1984 and obtained his PhD from the University of Manchester in 1989. He then spent three years managing the Coats Viyella - Marks and Spencer Fabric Centre before taking up a lectureship in the Department of Textiles, UMIST in 1992. His main research interests are in the manufacture of yarns and nonwovens, and in the performance measurement and modelling of flexible materials. He is the Programme Director of the MSc Textile Technology programme in the School, and is Chair of the Postgraduate Degrees Panel in the Faculty of EPS.
