研究领域
Ian is interested in the development and application of computational models to provide an improved understanding of the fundamental processes that cause real world environmental engineering problems, and which may assist in the design of sustainable solutions to these problems. The focus of some of his current and recent research studies is the modelling of the emission, dispersion and mitigation of fugitive dust from surface minerals extraction and processing operations. Ian also has research interests in the development of computational fluid dynamic models to characterise the environmental fluid flow phenomena exhibited by shallow water lakes and volcanic eruptions.
