Dr. Shamseddin is a Nephrologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Queen’s University and he is acting as the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Program Director for the Adult Nephrology Residency Program at Queen’s University. Dr. Shamseddin obtained his medical degree from Damascus University, Faculty of Medicine and received Internal Medicine Residency Training at Kansas University, School of Medicine. He then completed a Nephrology Residency at Memorial University, followed by a Kidney Transplantation Fellowship at Ottawa University, Ottawa, Ontario. He is a Masters candidate in Clinical Epidemiology at the Graduate School of Studies at Memorial University. His research focuses on clinical outcomes in hemodialysis and kidney transplant patients as well as on developing an online Nephrology curriculum at Queen’s University.
