Dr. Marcotte completed her medical training at Queen’s University, including internal medicine residency and a fellowship in general internal medicine. She worked as a community general internist before joining the Division of General Internal Medicine at Queen’s in 2012.
She is the Director of the Internal Medicine Clinical Teaching Units (CTUs), a core component of the residency training experience. Her clinical work is mainly carried out on the inpatient units at Kingston General Hospital, as well as the GIM consult service. Her main interests are in education, clinical skills and health care system management and reform.
