个人简介
Chris Frank graduated from medicine at the University of Western Ontario in 1989. He completed family medicine training at Queen’s University then did additional training in Care of the Elderly at Queen’s. He has a focused practice in geriatrics and palliative care. Currently he holds the position of Associate Professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine.
His clinical roles include inpatient geriatric rehabilitation, palliative care inpatient unit, acute care consults and liaison role, and outpatient geriatrics.
Dr. Frank’s educational roles include supervising clinical clerks and residents on geriatrics and palliative care rotations, Clinical Skills Tutor, member of Internal Medicine Residency Program Committee; member of Residency Education Committee (COE); Queen’s Geriatric Interest Group (QGIG) mentor.
He is involved in leadership roles as Clinical Leader of Specialized Geriatrics and Chair of Medical Advisory Committee at Providence Care Centre; Chair of Health Care of the Elderly Program at the College of Family Physicians of Canada; Chair of Geriatric Education and Recruitment Initiative (GERI); President of the Medical Staff Association at Providence Care; member of the Board of Directors, Providence Care
He has recently been awarded the Award of Excellence by the Ontario College of Family Physicians, 2012; and has received Excellence in Clinical Teaching Awards for the past few years (2009 – 2012). He was listed as one of Canada’s Top 45 over 45 by Zoomer Magazine in 2012 for contributions to geriatric care.
