Enlli Harper is responsible for the Welsh Medium Teaching provision at the School of Chemistry and conducts her duties in the laboratory and in tutorial sessions. Enlli is also responsible for the School’s development of Welsh Medium resources for Undergraduate teaching and also curriculum enhancing tools for schools teaching Chemistry A Level through the medium of Welsh. Enlli completed her MChem degree at Bangor and then undertook her PhD, also at Bangor on Novel Bio-active fatty acids; this research was in the area of sensor development for TB testing. Work also involved looking at novel fatty acids for the treatment of malaria. Enlli has also had experience of working with Industry as she worked on a collaborative project with the Pharmaceuticals Giant AMRI, this was to optimise a particular step in a chemical process. Collaborated with numerous companies including the BioComposites centre looking at the extraction of different compounds from natural products. this project looked at the extraction of pharmaceutical products from natural products.
