Lynne is a registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and a Registered General Nurse (RGN). She has personal experience of distance learning having completed her first degree with the Open University in 1997. She then undertook a Masters in Nursing Science degree in 2000.
She has published on mental health and well-being and also published a commissioned book in 2009 on Depression across the lifespan. This was commissioned by Wiley/Blackwell publishers. She has presented at local, National and International conferences on mental health and well-being and on attrition in BSC nursing programs.
She also has an interest in supporting the mental health and well-being of students in University through transition from accessing the course to qualifying as a professional nurse, promoting their health and well-being and promoting emotional resilience.
Lynne is also a member of the Fitness to Practice Panel and has an interest in promoting health and wellbeing and combines both mental health and public health interests through her research.
