个人简介

Specialist Subjects: Chronic pain management (psychosocial especially Chronic low back pain ) Long term and Chronic Conditions Management (Psychological ) Methods: Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) Research Interests: I am interested in the psychological responses to long term and chronic conditions in particular chronic pain. My PhD work was with older people with chronic pain but I am also interested in the experiences of younger people with chronic pain in an attempt to better understand how to support people. I am also interested in older peoples’ experiences of accessing pain support and information in rural areas. In terms of methodologies I am able to undertake a range of qualitative and quantitative methods but have a keen interest in IPA. An emerging interest is developing innovative educational interventions for applying psychology to nursing in nurse and health professionals education.
