I am a nurse by profession and joined the College in January 2004. Most of my teaching has been with pre- and post- registration nursing students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I am personal tutor to a number of pre-registration nursing students and supervisor for undergraduate and post graduate students on a number of programmes. I was Director for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for almost six years. I have recently been appointed as Director of Engagement, which incorporates a seconded role to Hwyel Dda for three days a week as Head of Nursing and Midwifery Education and Training. All of my nursing has been in the specialities of cancer and palliative care, in hospital, hospice and community settings, and this is the focus of my teaching. I also have a proven track record of facilitating work based learning and CPD both in the College and also in my previous role with the Macmillan National Institute for Education.
