个人简介
Angela is an experienced analyst of health services and outcomes research having completed several National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funded trials. Key areas of work include analysis of national routine ‘real world’ datasets such as NHS primary and secondary healthcare data and health economic evaluation of health technology assessments, clinical trials and broader healthcare evaluations. Evaluation techniques include cost-effectiveness analysis; QALY based cost-utility, cost-consequence, within trial budget impact analysis alongside modelling of health outcomes such as bootstrapping, cost calculator models for budget impact analysis of new treatments at UK national level and decision modelling.
Recent projects have included the following;
A randomised controlled trial with the Foot Ulcer Trails Unit, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust- The evaluation of the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of lightweight fibreglass heel casts in the management of ulcers of the heel in diabetes using data collected directly from the patient cohort.
Asthma UK Priority Needs Grant Project - Estimating the incidence, prevalence, healthcare utilisation, wider societal impact and true cost of asthma in the UK using ‘real world’ NHS routine data from the SAIL databank. A multi-centre evaluation working in partnership with researchers based in Edinburgh University and St George’s, University of London.
