个人简介
James was awarded his MChem in 2004 from the University of Oxford and moved to Liverpool to complete his PhD studies on nucleic acid and oligonucleotide chemistry. In 2010, after a 2.5 year PDRA position, James joined the staff as a teaching lecturer and coordinates a variety of courses related to organic chemistry, synthetic chemistry, molecular biology for chemists and employability skills. James continues to develop various aspects of his and the departments teaching, including introducing 128 ‘clicker’ devices that are routinely used by numerous staff and developing his role as the departmental employability champion. James is a fellow of the HEA and a committee member of the RSC Tertiary Education committee. In 2012, the RSC awarded James a Chemistry Education Activating Research bursary to travel to Penn State University for an international conference on Chemistry Education, and in 2015 James was awarded a Faculty of Science and Engineering Teaching and Learning award.
