个人简介

Emma is a lecturer in pharmaceutics and joined the University of Lincoln in October 2015. Prior to this, she worked in academic research at a number of institutions including the University of Nottingham, University College Cork and the University of St Andrews. Her research has been based around biomaterials and drug delivery systems for surgical applications such as: effective delivery of stem cells; methods of reducing postoperative infection in orthopaedic surgery and reducing the trauma associated with laparoscopic surgery. Emma obtained her PhD in biomaterials and drug delivery from The Queen’s University of Belfast after completing a BSc in medicinal chemistry at the same institution. Department Responsibilities Emma is a personal tutor and is responsible within School of Pharmacy for careers and employability of BSc Pharmaceutical Sciences and MPharm students. Emma is also the Deputy Lead for Postgraduate Research in the School of Pharmacy. Subject Specialism Biomaterials, drug delivery, materials characterisation.
