个人简介

My interests broadly cover how organisms move, be it an ant climbing a wall or a plankter swimming in the ocean. How do these organisms move and how do physical laws influence their abilities and behaviours. My experience covers such things as the culturing and husbandry of a diverse range of organisms including crustaceans, polycheates, insects and plankton, generating novel chemical attractants for aquatic pest control to using empirical data to design novel anti stick surfaces. I have worked with diverse experimental techniques including but not limited to building custom video and sound equipment to monitor animal behaviour, tracking organism movement and manipulating surface chemistry of substrates for adhesion trials.
