个人简介

My research interests focus mainly on the evolution of prokaryotes and protozoan using phylogenetic approaches. I received my PhD in Evolutionary genetics at the University of Montpellier 1 in France in 2012. This PhD work with Dr. Christophe Ravel and Prof. Pierre Marty, focused on studying the genetic structure and the evolutionary mechanisms of the protozoan parasites from the Leishmania genus in Africa and Eurasia. Currently I am working with Prof. Stuart Humphries in the Physical Ecology Lab to understand how the shape and motility in bacteria have evolved using phylogenetic approaches.
